Job Overview: The Cloud Engineer will help drive and transform the client environment to the GCP Cloud Platform. This individual will need strong solutions architecture, design, migration, and administration DevOps experience within Google Cloud Platform to help deliver an exceptional client experience.
The Impact:
You are responsible for build-out, configuration, deploy, scale, orchestration and monitoring in supporting infrastructure and our release pipeline for global payment platforms. Candidate must be comfortable in driving Continuous Integration / Deployment initiatives in the cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of Engineers to automate workflows and processes across multiple AWS and GCP environments
- Build GCP and AWS infrastructure using Terraform deployed via YAML based pipelines
- Deploy and managing Erlang/Elixir application on GCP and AWS
- Build CI/CD enabled pipelines for the deployment of automation work products
- Build SRE tools and dashboards for observability
- Manage source control including, GIT. Participate In peer review processes
- Design and build various orchestration tools to automate workloads and processes in GCP and AWS
- Assist in the development of processes and practices as it relates to the migration of workloads to GCP and AWS
- Collaborate with product teams and make recommendations for better cloud alignment
- Help in identifying and documenting application and infrastructure enhancements to improve overall performance and client experiences
- Respond to operational incidents and address/correct issues found to restore services
- Assist in developing and implementing DevOps best practices
- Participate In enterprise level and cross org working groups to exchange best practices, blueprints and reusable code work products
What We’re Looking For:
- 5 years of DevOps or similar infrastructure-based experience
- Understanding of DevOps practices and ability to work in a strong team
- Strong GCP or AWS working knowledge, preferable GCP and AWS Solutions Architect Associate or DevOps certification
- Strong understanding of source control and GIT
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Knowledge of industry best practices around Information Security, Windows Operations and GCP Public Cloud technologies
- Strong understanding of scripting tools and technologies; specifically, YAML, PowerShell and JSON
- Basic understanding of Linux
- Strong scripting ability (BASH, PowerShell, etc)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Strong time and project management skills
- Experience in working with Postgres
- Strong Ansible experience
- Preferrable previous team leadership experience
Pay: ₦450,000.00 – ₦550,000.00 per month
