Flashback to the Aquafina tasks in the BBN house yesterday. To the amazement of everyone, these tasks revealed salient truths about the emotions of housemates. A few of the housemates used it as an opportunity to be expressive while some proved that you couldn’t pour from an empty cup.
The winning team with the most striking performance was Team Transparent from level 2. Amaka and Groovy were the members of the team and their performance got people talking because of how Amaka seized the opportunity to profess feelings to her “knight in shiny armour”. The ingenuity portrayed in the performance not only made them win, but underscored her affections for him. Unfortunately, she didn’t stand a chance with him since Phyna had not only insisted on being in his space but also upheld public displays of affection in their new ship.
We eventually saw Groovy and Phyna give Amaka a show before bed. Their long good night kiss was obviously to ridicule Amaka’s poetic performance and expectations. Good enough, they got her as she kept shouting “I’m pained!” Meanwhile, Bella and Sheggz’s performance irked everyone. Viewers thought she’s all beauty and no brains, and so was her man Sheggz.
In addition, the diary sessions were fascinating earlier yesterday. First, Diana blew Twitter hot after confidently sending Biggie to buy them salt from the market. This was the first of its kind in the history of Big Brother Naija, and it was her audacity for me. In fact, Big Brother either had a comedy show yesterday or a confrontational and disrespectful moment having to reply to Diana’s request. From my POV, I’m only glad because she finally gave us a reason to make her name trend.
As a result of the increasing tension in the level 1 house, Adekunle suggested that Bella and Sheggz should be moved to the level 2 house. Seeing that they were inseparable and always constituting a nuisance, it fueled Adekunle’s decision. Diana had the same choice and also felt the need for the friction in the Level 1 house to ease up. On the other hand, Bella, after acting dumb says Allysyn and Adekunle should be moved to the level 2 house. She picked Adekunle because they were not friends. My interest in all these is we need two housemates from level 1 out of the house, whoever it is doesn’t matter.
Furthermore, Deji was given a secret task by Big Brother, a task he was excited to undertake with so much concentration and tactics. It required him to move to the level 2 house after acting dissatisfied with all the goings on in the house. We couldn’t wait to see how this turns out and how the housemates would react. However, I bet he is equal to the task.
Finally, we saw Khalid emerge with another story concerning his involvement with Daniella in the house. During one of his media rounds, he said: “Daniella and I didn’t have sex, we only kissed.” The reactions to this tweet are wild. One Twitter user said: “Linus well done!” The most hilarious comment goes thus: “I know say na wetin una go talk. Shey the moan and kelewawa knack na play? Are we a joke to y’all?” I think we had enough and the lies were unnecessary at this point.
