It’s the time when the fun spots all over Nigeria open up to anyone seeking to be laid-back getting to every Christmas holiday. That is perhaps the only time that permits a window to relax and there is no urgent office task lurking at least not until the New Year 2024 begins.

Some holidaymakers want to hit a quiet nature-based resort and find a connection, but most would prefer to embed themselves in a lively atmosphere where they can feast and bob their heads to the sound of music. That is sort of where the events showing in our list would lead if you follow through.

Palmwine Festival: This event has been in existence since 2017 and is being held constantly every December in Lagos, Nigeria. The festival incorporates live music with art, food, DJ sets, merchandise, and of course Palmwine which is the bedrock.  Now in 2023, the 6th edition promises to be a special one. This is set to be held from the 23rd to the 24th, of December 2023 at the Muri Okunola Park.

Lagos Countdown: The Lagos Countdown 2024 titled #Greater Lagos Fiesta is another exciting new event happening from 29 December 2023, to 1 January 2024. This particular one was announced by Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka, the state’s Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture in Lagos state, in a statement disclosing that the festival will showcase comedies, cultural performances, live musical concerts, and fireworks taking place at Ikorodu, Badagry, Ikeja, Lagos Island and Epe as extremely busy Lagosians step on the brakes to await, hopefully, a new year that would be stress-free.
