Trick or Treat! There is clarity in the minds of Nigerian undergrads when it comes to what Halloween truly means or doesn’t mean to their clique. It is the Gen Zers that were making the assertions when we visited them at the Lagos State University to find out how tuned in they are when it comes to celebrating Halloween with all its masks and imitations of pop culture icons known to man.

So, therefore, it was fitting to speak to fourth-year undergrad Emmanuel from the art faculty to get a picture. If he was picking an outfit to wear to an imminent Halloween party, it will be any of the animation heroes or villains, depending on his mood.

“I like all these Marvel movies, so I think I would go for any of their characters,” was Emmanuel’s comment when we asked him to share a glimpse of his Halloween personality. There were others who had views that made part of our musings.
