Account Manager at CIG Motors Co., Ltd

Job Summary:

The Account Manager is responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with key clients to ensure long-term business partnerships and customer satisfaction. Acting as the primary point of contact, the Account Manager will work closely with clients to understand their needs, offer tailored solutions, and drive business growth through excellent service delivery. This role requires strong communication, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Serve as the main liaison between clients and CIG Motors, ensuring regular communication and timely resolution of issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Actively monitor client satisfaction levels and implement improvement strategies when necessary.
  • Sales Growth & Business Development:
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services or products to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, and Aftersales) to deliver customized solutions and grow revenue.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and business reviews to promote business development and long-term partnerships.
  • Customer Success & Satisfaction:
  • Proactively gather client feedback to ensure satisfaction with products and services provided.
  • Work with the Aftersales and Customer Service departments to ensure timely support and problem resolution.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions, sales activities, and inquiries.
  • Contract Management:
  • Oversee contract negotiations and renewals, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and CIG Motors.
  • Manage the onboarding of new clients and ensure smooth transition into the account management process.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contracts, service agreements, and client-specific requirements.
  • Reporting & Performance Tracking:
  • Monitor client account performance against agreed metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Track sales forecasts and market trends to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare presentations and reports to update clients on performance and suggest areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 7 years) in account management or client relations, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales software.
  • Knowledge of the Nigerian automotive market and customer base is an advantage.
