Web Development Facilitator at Talent Code Africa

Location: Lagos

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Web Developer Facilitator (Front-End) to lead and mentor aspiring web developers. The facilitator will be responsible for delivering training sessions, guiding students through front-end development concepts, and ensuring a hands-on, engaging learning experience. This is a contract-based role ideal for experienced front-end developers who are enthusiastic about teaching and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct interactive training sessions on front-end web development (HTML, CSS and JavaScript)

• Develop and deliver lesson plans, coding exercises, and real-world projects to enhance student learning.

• Provide one-on-one guidance, code reviews, and constructive feedback to students.

• Assist students in troubleshooting coding challenges and debugging errors.

• Evaluate student progress and provide reports on performance and participation.

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages collaboration and creativity.

• Collaborate with the program team to improve course content and teaching methodologies.

Job Specification

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).

• Certifications in front-end development (e.g., Google UX Design, React Developer Certification) are a plus.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer with a strong portfolio of projects.

• Prior experience as a trainer, facilitator, or mentor in web development is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular).

• Experience with version control systems like Git/GitHub.

• Familiarity with responsive design, UI/UX principles, and modern development tools.

• Knowledge of front-end build tools and debugging techniques.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple and engaging way.

• Strong mentoring and coaching skills.

• Patience and adaptability to different learning styles.

• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.

Work Environment & Contract Details:
