BNXN aka Buju came through with the lamba once again! The most played song, Many Ways from his latest album, exudes strong sexual vibe. Little wonder he named his album Bad Since 97. Throughout, he reiterates his bad guy tendencies. This song can easily pass for an aphrodisiac, if there is anything like that.

Unlike the jams topping the charts, Buju’s song is not much of a party banger. It’s a subtle, seductive rhythm, perhaps most suitable for intimate moments. However, trust the Nigerian populace to vibe to good music regardless of the moment and place, intimate or not, you can’t help but move your body to the rhythm and align with the legendary Fuji beats. You can easily master balancing your moods while listening to this song.

Amazingly, this jam features Wizkid, arguably Nigeria’s best artiste. This statement has put Davido and Burna Boy’s fans into deep consideration. The fight for favourites in the music industry is endless so I’ve learned to savour great songs without the unnecessary bants. On this jam, Wizkid enhanced the intense and hot sexual content from his voice to his lyrics. He generally parades himself as the guy that gets all the ladies without trying and he brought the tension into the song.

The Nigerian Afro-fusion singer, songwriter and record producer came to the spotlight with his Sorry I’m late EP. He is also renowned for his features even though they’ve constituted a huge controversy in recent times. BNXN, formerly known as Buju, has been repeatedly criticised, perhaps unfairly, by his colleagues owing to the fact that BNXN’s most ‘blown’ songs, Many Ways included other artistes. This has fueled the notion that he doesn’t do so well with his individual releases. In as much as this criticism is unhealthy, there is a bit of evidence to back it up.

Nevertheless, BNXN has killer vocals that are very remarkable in the industry. This is why other artistes easily jump on his songs or want to have him on theirs. His collaboration with Wizkid on this song is not only iconic but noteworthy. The blend in their voices lets you catch a vibe while  listening. He has leveraged on this superb collabo to exert some dominance in the Afropop world. “I’m in my bag right now, lyrically and musically,” he said in a recent interview. This is an understandable bedrock for his new album as he is really reaching for the big bags having Wizkid on his song. Despite the many chastisements about his features, they have come to be in his favour.

Worthy of mention is how this seductive song was delivered with Fuji beats. Hitherto, this is an exceptional fusion of Fuji beats and highly seductive lyrics. This fashion of song delivery emphasises the zenith of creativity from both producers and artistes, impressively one of a kind. I do not agree less with BNXN’s remarks on his new album, “the storytelling is 100 percent better now—the delivery, the flow and everything. It is all well-put-together and the sound now is so mature, so confident. That is the stage I’m playing at.” The elucidation of erotic emotions in this song is passionate. If there was a girl on the receiving end of these lines, she would most likely yield to the advances as the words are as enticing as the singers.

In all, BNXN reintroduces himself as super creative and talented on this song. From rhymes, to lyrics to beats, the song is a masterpiece. In tandem with Wizkid’s soft bad boy aura, we can’t help but appreciate this collaborative work of art. He didn’t forget to mention that the song makes him and Wizkid so happy and I bet you will feel the same while you stream the song.
