Two weeks after releasing his seventh album “I Told Them”, Burna Boy has been allotted up to seven nominations for the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards staging in Atlanta, in the USA and to be aired on October 10.

Only two artists have joint highest nominations – 21 Savage and Cardi B who are leading with 12. Then there is Drake behind the pair with nine before Burna Boy comes in alongside DJ Khaled.

It is not so much of a surprise that Burna Boy received that much. When he released “I Told Them” on August 25, reviewers thought it was tilting strongly towards the hip-hop genre. The selection of collaborations with J. Cole on the tracklist was one of the reasons why this was decided.

However, J. Cole, who he featured on ‘Thanks’ came up in just six slots for this year’s edition, which is the 18^th so far. Now, we take you to the full list of nominations for the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards.
