Ownahome is an innovative Real Estate brokerage platform looking to revolutionize the property market in Nigeria and beyond. We’re on a mission to provide the most comprehensive listing of properties in the country and expand our reach across Africa, the UAE, and parts of Europe.

Responsibilities

As the Business Development Manager & Account Lead, you will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of ownahome.ng. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developer Acquisition and Management:
  • Sign up new developers to the ownahome.ng platform
  • Maintain relationships with existing developers
  • Ensure timely property listing updates from all developers

2. Listing Management:

  • Maintain and regularly update an extensive list of property listings in Lagos and Abuja.
  • Ensure all mainstream and popular listings are featured on our site
  • Conduct property inspections as needed

3.Client Relations:

  • Nurture and follow up with client leads
  • Use CRM systems effectively to manage leads and client relationships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, property owners, and clients

4.Community Management:

  • Manage and grow our WhatsApp community
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase engagement within our real estate community

5.Business Development:

  • Explore expansion opportunities in other Nigerian states and African countries, the UAE, and parts of Europe.
  • Broker partnerships and relationships with other brokers and brokerages
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase our market share and brand visibility

6.Content Creation:

  • Coordinate and ensure weekly interviews for our podcast, featuring agents, clients, investors, and other real estate stakeholders
  • Contribute to content creation for various marketing channels

7.Performance Tracking:

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including:
  • Number of new developers signed up (daily/weekly)
  • Number of new listings added and updated (daily/weekly)
  • Client conversion rates
  • Community growth and engagement metrics
  • Overall market share and brand recognition improvements

8.Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the founder to ensure seamless operations and achieve company goals
  • Participate in regular team meetings and strategy sessions

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in real estate
  • Proven track record in business development and account management
  • Excellent relationship-building and networking skills
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Willingness to travel for property inspections and business development activities
  • Proficiency in using digital platforms and CRM systems
  • Experience in content creation and community management
  • Familiarity with podcast production or willingness to learn
