Kizz Daniel song, Buga, features Nigerian hit-making powerhouse, Tekno. The No-Bad-Songz crooner released his first single of 2022 in the early days of May and it has continued to gain traction, taking the number one spot on Apple Music’s Top 100 in Nigeria barely three days after its release.

Buga became an instant hit on social media with TikTok users at the forefront of this social media sensation.

Kizz Daniel has been a notable face in the Nigerian music industry from his first foray with singles like Woju and Yeba. The journey has not always been smooth for Kizz, especially after his split from Emperor Geezy’s G-Worldwide and the legal battles that followed after his name change from Kiss Daniel to Kizz Daniel, and the start of his own record label Fly Boy Inc. But 2022 really seems to be Kizz Daniel’s year as he has buried the proverbial hatchet with Emperor Geezy on social media and to be on the up and up.

His second studio album, cheekily named No Bad Songz, was an impressive and pivotal body of work that showed Kizz coming into his own unique sound as a musician, plus he had the added advantage of proving that title of the album was not, as Gen Zs will put it, capping. After the album release, the expectation for the quality of music he releases has been sky high and Kizz Daniel has not disappointed us yet.

Tekno, the featured artist, is just as talented a hitmaker as Kizz. He has hit songs like Duro, Pana, Rara, and Skeletun to name a few. He is also a talented producer, producing hits like If by Davido, Won’t be Late by Swae Lee featuring Drake, and many others. Buga has all the trappings of a successful collabo.

Buga is a timely and catchy reminder that there is actually no shame in taking some time off. A message Tekno wholeheartedly endorses with his verse on a mid-swing, bouncy beat. Buga has come to stay on our airways and will probably be one of the biggest hits of the year.

Hopefully, Kizz releases an album this year. We cannot seem to get enough of his sound.
