Role Overview:

We seek a strategic and dynamic Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead our operational activities and establish partnerships that align with our mission. The ideal candidate will have experience in operations management, building alliances, and working within organizations that blend commercial goals with nonprofit principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership: Design, implement, and manage strategies to optimize daily operations and ensure alignment with the company’s mission.

• Partnership Development: Build and maintain partnerships with complementary companies, government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to expand AgroBloom’s impact.

• Alliance Building: Identify and foster alliances that can provide land, machinery, seedlings, grants, and other resources essential for scaling operations.

• Collaboration with Trustees: Work closely with trustees to ensure operational compliance and strategic alignment with the organization’s objectives.

• Program Management: Oversee agricultural programs, logistics, and supply chain processes to ensure efficient resource utilization.

• Scalability and Innovation: Develop and implement systems to support scalability and foster innovation within the organization.

• Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets, operational costs, and financial sustainability.

• Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Represent AgroBloom in discussions with stakeholders, funders, and partners to advance our mission.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in operations management, ideally within agriculture, NGOs, or impact-driven organizations.

• Strong track record of building partnerships and alliances with complementary organizations and stakeholders.

• Familiarity with Nigeria’s agricultural sector and regulatory environment is an advantage.

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of supply chain and logistics in agriculture is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to balance social impact goals with operational efficiency.

Preferred:

• Experience working with NGOs or nonprofit organizations.

• Strong background in partnership development and strategic planning.
