Job Summary:
The General Manager will oversee the entire operations of the rice mill, ensuring optimal performance, profitability, and compliance with all relevant regulations. The role involves strategic planning, operational management, and leadership to drive continuous improvement and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management:
· Oversee daily operations of the rice mill to ensure efficiency and productivity.
· Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain product standards.
· Manage the supply chain, including procurement of raw materials and distribution of finished products.
2. Financial Oversight:
· Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
· Monitor financial performance, prepare reports, and implement strategies to improve profitability.
· Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decisions.
3. Team Leadership:
· Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
· Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
· Ensure proper training and development programs for staff.
4. Strategic Planning:
· Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals and objectives.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation.
· Conduct market analysis and develop strategies to enhance competitive positioning.
5. Compliance and Safety:
· Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
· Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to industry safety standards.
· Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
6. Stakeholder Management:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
· Represent the company in industry events and forums.
· Manage community relations and ensure the company’s activities are aligned with community interests.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in agricultural processing or a related industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
· Strong knowledge of parboiled rice milling operations and production processes.
· Proven financial management skills, including budgeting and financial analysis.
· Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
· Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
