Day 8

The past week was undeniably eventful and dramatic in the house. The fights, relationships, tasks, and parties kept fans alive with the social media buzzing about the quality of this season’s contenders for the ultimate prize of ₦100million. It’s undoubted that there was a lot to catch up with as the housemates continue to deliver on their promises of bringing in energy. Viewers think Big Brother actually acting on the complaints of the BBNaija Season 6 housemates was being too boring. This season’s selection of the housemates is commendable – the content we signed up for.

Yesterday was somewhat solemn in the house after the most provocative fight between Ilebaye and Beauty. They should have got awards for being the most confrontational so far. Instead, Beauty earned a strike while Ilebaye was warned. We hope to see more fights and less love, you probably do not agree but we do.  Most housemates spent time packing yesterday, however, we see few of them unbothered like ‘e sure for them.’

 The long-anticipated first eviction show was the highlight of the day. Big Brother, however, didn’t fail to strike us with another move as he introduced the 25th and 26th housemates. At the sight of Deji and Modella, we couldn’t help but notice a build-up of pressure among the housemates. Who is going to succumb to this pressure? And, like the other old housemates, these two have promised us lively content.

In as much as it is a negative word to use, housemates will be ‘intimidated’ as Deji and Modella are both sexy. Being insurmountable in the game has become an arduous task and we look forward to seeing the show running amidst all these. We are intrigued as Big Brother reminds us we do not have a complete grasp of what he has up his sleeves.

The eviction show was graced by Bella Shmurda’s lit performance. People can’t stop talking about the skirt he wore to the stage. Are we being welcomed to the era of a new trend? Or is this one of those schemes to bring attention to the show? It wasn’t a bad sight, after all, and he got people talking. Isn’t that what celebrities thrive on?

Ebuka served fashion as usual. How he stays on his ‘all-time best dressed’ game should be studied. He also did a little dance that got people talking and laughing. Watching the show signs you up for beautiful moments and this is one of them.

Ebuka checks on housemates as usual and Eloswag thinks he did well as Head of House. He mentions he hasn’t thrived in any position of leadership, this is an amazing opportunity the show has provided him. Christy O thinks her first week’s experience is a 6/10. Events were not as rosy as they appeared at the outset. Meanwhile, earlier, Bella thought she was up for eviction, and the same for Bryan. Also, while Groovy thought Amaka was up for eviction, Khalid mentioned Christy O. Hence, nobody expected the plot twist.

From my mouth to your ears, the introduction of the two new housemates just gives us another week to learn the names of those that have remained quiet as their game plan. Perhaps, another elbow room for a talent showcase. Fans also think the ‘trenches’ housemates will quickly discover that Modella is a fake one. ‘Dem too cacu,’ they are considered very smart.
