Key Responsibilities
Design Expertise
- Translate conceptual ideas, features, and user requirements into comprehensive wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
- Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the overall design quality.
- Maintain design consistency across different components and screen sizes of our logistics solutions.
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure seamless integration of designs into the final product.
- Implement intuitive user interactions and delightful user experiences.
Industry Insight
- Leverage your understanding of the logistics industry to create designs that resonate with users in this complex landscape.
- Stay updated on industry and emerging design trends to incorporate best design practices into our logistics solutions.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth implementation of design elements.
- Collaborate with other product designers to ensure a unified and cohesive design approach.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
Design Quality
- Maintain well-naming conventions for design components.
- Design features following proper user flow to enhance the overall user experience.
- Ensure all designs accurately reflect screen names and adhere to the right nomenclature.
- Create designs in vector formats, including all necessary assets for seamless implementation.
- Follow the brand guide strictly to ensure consistency and alignment with ShipPack’s visual identity.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in the logistics industry is a plus.
- Proficient in Figma for design and collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for modern design trends.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Product Designer.
- In-depth knowledge of user-centered design principles and practices.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and the ability to design inclusive user interfaces.
- Familiarity with design tools beyond Figma, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar.
- Proficiency in conducting user research and translating insights into actionable design improvements.
- Understanding of front-end development principles to facilitate effective collaboration with developers.
- Proven ability to work in an agile environment, adapting to evolving project requirements and timelines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey design concepts and rationale.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred. However, relevant work experience and a strong design portfolio will also be considered.
