
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Sales and Portfolio Management located in Lagos. The Head of Sales and Portfolio Management will lead a team of sales professionals responsible for marketing investment products to institutional clients with the aim of increasing assets under management. The role requires developing and implementing sales strategies, managing client relations, overseeing portfolio management activities, and monitoring client performance reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation preferred
- 8+ years of experience in sales management and portfolio management in the asset management industry and ability to generate deposits.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that drive increased asset under management
- Strong client relationship management skills with an ability to communicate complex concepts simply and effectively
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience leading and managing high-performing sales teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Experience with institutional sales to pension funds, insurance companies, and other corporate entities
- Thorough knowledge of investment and portfolio management principles, as well as with local and global industry trends and regulations
- Comfortable with working with data and proficient with Excel and other analytical tools
