IT Technical Support at Inventrium Business Support Services (IBSS)
Location: Lagos

We are seeking a resourceful, proactive, and experienced IT Support Officer to join our teamfor this Hybrid Role. The successful candidate will provide hardware and software support to staff, coordinate with third-party vendors for complex repairs and maintenance, support client documentations, engaging in routine online web content publishing remotely and help drive IT operational excellence across our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on support for staff IT requests, including system setup, software installation (e.g., Microsoft Office, antivirus), configuration of email accounts, and printer and peripheral setup.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve minor hardware and software issues independently; escalate or coordinate repairs with third-party vendors and technicians when necessary.
Take responsibility for transporting equipment and systems to repair vendors and ensure timely resolution and follow-up.
Coordinate with external vendors/technicians to repair or replace faulty hardware components (chargers, batteries, screens, printers, etc.).
Support staff with system and email password resets, two-factor authentication setup, and account access troubleshooting.
Assist with new device setup, user onboarding/offboarding, and periodic upgrades or system refresh projects.
Provide support and user training on Windows-based environments, Microsoft Office Suite, and company business applications.
Actively contribute to a secure and efficient IT environment through regular software updates and security best practices.
Engage in route online web content publishing and digital content management
Perform appropriate and adequate record keeping and digital documentation of of maintenance activities, asset tagging, and basic IT inventory control.
Requirements:
National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2–3 years proven experience providing IT support in a business/office environment.
Practical expertise in supporting and troubleshooting Windows environments, Microsoft Office Suite, printers, and laptops/desktops.
Familiarity with vendor coordination, particularly with hardware repair hubs (e.g., Computer Village, Lagos).
Demonstrated problem-solving skills: able to independently diagnose and resolve minor IT issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; can work with non-technical colleagues and explain solutions clearly.
Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and reliability.
