Meet 3 proudly Nigerian jollof rice chefs crowned winners in a Meiza Flavour Fiesta 2.0 Boxing Day of sharing

After 12 contestants kicked off their Meiza Flavour Fiesta 2.0 chef journey cooking the spiciest jollof rice ever, the top three winners have been identified and are now being presented to their organically vibrant community just in time for a Boxing Day of sharing and prize-winning.
Forty-three aspiring celebrity chefs from the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria through their registrations had made their interests known in competing in the fiesta’s second edition, but only a dozen – 10 women and two men – made the finalists page.
Before they could be crowned winners of the competition, the contestants first needed to showcase at least three locally produced cooking products to make their massive reddish jollof rice dish which is unarguably a national monument from a food perspective.
Organisers had asked the participants to make a 5-minute video revealing them in the act of maximising a combination of ingredients to sell their country as a destination emphasising a culture of the people eating what is locally produced and these 12 chefs didn’t disappoint with their outputs.

And after 23 days of turning their kitchens upside down just to find space and an attractive aroma, the results are out following the period of intense voting.
Entering the MFF2.0 contest on 2 December 2024, all the participants knew perfectly what the stakes were. The organisers, expecting an exceptional display of proudly Nigerian products on their YouTube had pledged to reward three top winners with ₦200k, ₦100k and ₦50k respectively.
Now that this phase of voting and results gathering has been concluded, here are the three winners of Meiza Flavour Fiesta: the Jollof Rice Edition.
One of the finalists appearing in the list Nwokenna Ogechi Blessing had previously won the grand prize in December 2023, but she could not repeat that feat this time out.
How far up or down did Miss Blessing lay her print on this Boxing Day exclusive list? The MFF2.0 community are welcome to find out after this line.
