Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Operating Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Group. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operational leadership, strategic planning, and driving organisational efficiency. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional management skills to lead our diverse business units toward achieving our long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee the daily operations of all business units within the group to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and implement operational policies, processes, and systems to streamline operations and improve performance.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company’s strategic plan.
- Identify and drive strategic initiatives that align with the company’s vision and objectives.
Financial Management:
- Manage the company’s budget and financial planning processes to ensure financial health and stability.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to the executive team.
Performance Management:
- Set performance goals and metrics for business units and ensure accountability.
- Regularly evaluate business performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Business Development:
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and potential partnerships to drive growth.
- Oversee mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures to expand the company’s portfolio.
Risk Management:
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing management team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and investors.
- Represent the group at industry events, conferences, and in media engagements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operational leadership roles, with a significant portion in a senior executive position.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex operations and driving organisational growth.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, financial planning, and analysis.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in a conglomerate or multi-industry company is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as required.
