After surprising with Finesse, Pheelz dropped another hit song Electricity, featuring Davido. For Pheelz, being a good producer equals being a great artiste as his hit tracks have proven. This banger is not an exception. The song producer is successfully pursuing a music career after Finesse became ubiquitous way before the full song was released. He is notable for working with big artistes like Tiwa Savage, Olamide, now BNXN (fka Buju), and Davido who is the latest.

The vibe of this jam is super electric, hence the title must have been deliberate. Seeing Davido hop on this music makes it extra palatable. His fans must have missed hearing his voice. He fueled the vibe on the song, making it rhythmically enticing. The fact that it is a party jam represents Pheelz as a nightlife person. Growing up in Lagos must have impacted his musical career since the people take unwinding seriously, especially by dancing in clubs. This song fits the purpose perfectly since he has moved to the frontline to craft music fit for the populace.

Another amazing part of the collaboration is on the video. No doubt so much work was put into the creation of electric graphics, lighting and even vibes. In fact, the video directed by the prestigious TG Omori exudes a luxurious energy while making you dance to the beats and melody.

The release of this song has rebirthed the arguments about the “Ridimakulayo” we keep hearing in the songs produced by Pheelz. A while back, we got a clarification that it is ‘rhythm and cool and young’. However, fans have vehemently refused to adopt the original phrase as the altered version is catchier and street-like.

More so, the lyrics are full of self-appraisals in tandem with exhortation of the big booty girls to shake the stuff they got. Who doesn’t like the company of women, especially the ones with extended backsides? And, like typical Nigerian songs in the new age, the chorus emphasises the need for money to preserve love in a relationships. This was followed by “Na poverty dey make man think” and I couldn’t agree less. Most street anthems like Electricity focus on awakening the youth to reality. Taking money as a key part of life can save one from too many issues. You literally cannot live a decent and pleasurable life without the ‘dough’.

On this song, Pheelz has promised vibe till infinity. We may have to sit tight for the ride of our lives. So far, the Nigerian music industry has made us proud by making the world vibe to our sounds. I bet this is another graceful addition of a feather to our cap. Another very captivating line from this song is, “Na mentality make man worthy.” I believe strongly that this is why Pheelz is exceptional both as an artiste and a producer, also this is why this music stands out and is currently ranking second on the Top 100 Nigeria today.

Don’t be caught slipping and stay jiggy with the contagious party vibe on this jam. Keep streaming!
