The Role:
MegaCode Digital is seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our dynamic team in a 100% remote capacity based in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting product strategy, roadmap development, and overall product lifecycle for software solutions while working on a US CT time zone schedule from 9am – 5pm.
Responsibilities:
– Support product vision and strategy by conducting market research, analyzing data insights, and gathering customer feedback through user interviews and other research methods.
– Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, sales, and marketing to ensure seamless product development and alignment with business goals.
– Define product requirements, create detailed user stories and acceptance criteria using Agile methodologies.
– Manage the product backlog, sprint planning, and release activities using project management tools like Jira.
– Develop product roadmaps, prioritize features, and communicate product plans to stakeholders through comprehensive documentation and presentations (PowerPoint, Google Slides).
– Utilize data analytics and visualization tools (Excel, SQL) to derive insights, track product performance metrics, and make informed decisions.
– Create process flows, user journey maps, and prototypes to effectively communicate the product vision and gather feedback.
– Oversee the testing and quality assurance process, ensuring delivered products meet requirements and provide an exceptional user experience.
– Manage the administrative aspects of product releases, including creating release notes and coordinating with client success teams.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
– 5-7 years of proven experience in a product management role, preferably in a software or technology company.
– Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and product development lifecycle.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to perform compelling storytelling.
– Proficiency in project management tools (Jira), collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams), and data visualization/analysis tools (Excel, SQL).
– Experience in creating process documentation, user guides, UI mockups, and technical specifications.
– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
– Ability to design beautiful and visually appealing PowerPoint presentations.
– Intermediate skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

– Familiarity with coding concepts and software development processes.
– Certification in product management (e.g Certified Scrum Product Owner) is advantageous.
