The Lagos State Government desires a speedy closure for all the parties seeking justice for Mohbad, especially his family members, fans and allies.

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has sent out his envoys to pay tribute to the mother of the late singer, Mohbad.

A video posted on the governor’s X (formerly Twitter) profile on Tuesday, September 19, shows his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, leading a delegation to meet with the singer’s family. The delegates include the Chief of Staff to Governor Sanwo-olu, Mr Tayo Ayinde; Mr Mobolaji Ogunlende the Commissioner for Youth, the Commissioner for Information, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, and Mr Idris Aregbe, a Special Adviser on Tourism.

The unveiling of such esteemed personalities on the visit goes to show that the Lagos State Government desires a speedy arrival of closure for all the parties seeking justice for the late singer, especially his family members, fans and allies.

Announcing the event via a tweet, Sanwo-olu wrote: “Today I sent a delegation led by the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat @drobafemihamzat, alongside my Chief of Staff, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, Commissioner for Youth, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende @bolajiogunlende, Commissioner for Information, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso @gbenga_omo, and Special Adviser on Tourism, Mr. Idris Aregbe on a condolence visit to the mother of Ileri Oluwa Oladimeji Aloba aka MOHBAD.”

Most exceptional by the government delegation was the pledge to shoulder the responsibility of raising the singer’s five-month-old son, Liam Imole Aloba.

While this mission was finalising its visit to Mohbad’s mother, a 13-person investigation team had been mobilised to unravel the cause of his demise. This was announced yesterday by Mr. Idowu Owohunwa, the Lagos State Police Commissioner, at a press briefing.

At the briefing was Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, who has also explained the reason for his son’s quick burial.
