Sarz and Lojay’s Monalisa is a great club banger
Sarz and Lojay are back and better with a remix of popular club-banger, Monalisa. It features popular R&B superstar Chris Brown. This track was released on May 20 and it is already on a club-shaking list.

It’s no wonder this track is one for the books – with the prowess of award-winning phenomenon, Chris Brown and renowned producer Sarz and smooth vocals by Lojay.
The original version was singled out and remixed from the LV N ATTN EP last year. Thereby, putting fresh sensation Lojay on the map and forefront of Afro-fusion.
The song is characterized by a hypnotic beat and catchy sing-along lyrics. Monalisa, alongside some of his other hit tracks on the EP, like Tonongo and LV N ATTN, has made Lojay a global hit. It has single-handedly put him at the vanguard of the Nigerian music scene.
Monalisa is at number one on Shazam’s Global Afrobeats chart and the fifth most streamed song in Nigeria in 2021. Therefore, it is only natural that such a hit would be picked to get an upbeat remix.
Speaking on the remix, Lojay says: “At the time I was creating this song, I would have never imagined hearing a Chris Brown verse on it. But the best part is he actually took his time and killed it and gave the song a different feel. He’s someone I’ve always wanted to work with so this is a really good feeling.”
Having Sarz on the track and the entire LV N ATTN EP as the producer is also a plus for Lojay. The producer’s wealth of experience and those he has garnered throughout his musical career while working with bigwigs in the business has continuously put him at the forefront of the industry. He’s well abreast with the beats and sounds the Gen Zs and really any demographic with an ear for music would love to vibe to.
The Monalisa remix is as good as club-bangers get in these fast-paced times. With this track, Lojay has managed to stay as one of the top artistes in the Afrobeat center stage. He has been releasing back-to-back hits since the release of the Monalisa original.
This song doesn’t just make a hit track, it marks a milestone in Lojay’s career as his first song featuring an international artist. With the use of a catchy shekere, and easy to sing lyrics plus the added bonus of hearing Chris Brown attempt to speak pidgin, it will not be hard for the hit track to further up Lojay’s musical exploits as an Afro-pop artiste.
In the wise words of Lojay, it will be a shame if you do not indulge in this song.
