Role Overview: Jamit is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on developing robust, scalable backend systems using Node.js, AWS, and various Web3 technologies. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of backend architectures and a passion for pushing the boundaries of digital media technologies.

Location: This position offers flexibility for remote work. Occasional visits to our headquarters or team gatherings may be required, depending on project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Design and develop scalable and secure backend services using Node.js, NoSQL databases, smart contracts and AWS. Ensure high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.

• API Management and SDK Creation: Architect, maintain, and document clean and effective RESTful APIs and develop comprehensive SDKs to facilitate easy integration and interaction with our platform by third-party developers.

• Technical Documentation: Produce high-quality technical documentation that supports our APIs and SDKs, ensuring that external developers have a clear and thorough understanding of how to implement and utilize them.

• Web3 Integration: Implement and maintain Web3 technologies to enhance platform capabilities in areas such as NFTs, DAOs, and DeFi, contributing to Jamit’s blockchain ecosystem.

• System Optimization: Optimize backend processes for maximum speed and scalability. Address and improve any technical issues in backend and database systems.

• Collaborative Development: Work within a cross-functional team to define and develop new product features. Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend developers, and designers to meet strategic business goals.

• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior backend engineers. Lead by example in writing clean, maintainable code and participating actively in code reviews.

• Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies. Propose and implement new solutions to enhance the platform’s capabilities and user experience.

• Security Practices: Implement robust security measures, including data protection protocols to safeguard user information and comply with legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A minimum of 6+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong proficiency in Node.js, MongoDB, and AWS.

• Extensive experience with server-side templating languages and server-side CSS preprocessor.

• Familiarity with front-end technologies (like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) for seamless integration with backend services.

• Familiarity with blockchain technology and Web3 innovations.

• Proven track record of developing high-availability, scalable, and secure applications.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
