Role Description

We are looking for a Social Media Marketing Intern to join our dynamic team remotely. This role will involve managing social media platforms, creating engaging content, executing campaigns, and tracking performance to enhance brand visibility and engagement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Assist in creating and implementing social media strategies to align with business goals.
  • Content Planning: Develop content calendars and campaign plans to ensure consistent messaging across platforms.
  • Platform Management: Manage day-to-day activities across social media channels like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and emerging platforms.
  • Campaign Execution: Support the design, execution, and monitoring of social media campaigns, including organic and paid strategies.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze social media performance using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and other analytics platforms.
  • Audience Engagement: Engage with online communities by responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and authentic manner.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on the latest social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with content writers, designers, and marketing teams to create high-quality and engaging content.
  • Competitor Analysis: Research and analyze competitors’ social media strategies to identify potential opportunities.
  • Crisis Management: Assist in managing negative feedback or social media crises with professionalism and tact.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Social Media Expertise: Understanding of various social media platforms, content formats, and algorithm changes.
  • Content Creation: Ability to write engaging posts, captions, and use effective hashtags.
  • Analytics Skills: Familiarity with social media analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and Sprout Social.
  • Advertising Knowledge: Basic understanding of paid social media campaigns, audience targeting, and budgeting.
  • Creativity: Strong ability to create compelling campaigns that engage target audiences.
  • Graphic Design Skills: Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and campaigns efficiently.
  • Trend Awareness: Keeping up with emerging social media trends and platform updates.
  • Team Collaboration: Experience working in a team environment with marketing, design, and content professionals.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle low engagement rates and negative feedback strategically.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to adjust strategies based on data, trends, and audience behavior.

Compensation

  • First 6 Months: Internship period focused on skill development, with a stipend of Naira 60,000 per month.
  • Post-Internship Opportunity: Based on performance, potential transition into a full-time role with a salary of Naira 2,86, 000 – 3,81,000 per month.
