Chief of Staff at Metzger Limited

Location: : Lekki, Lagos

Role Overview: As the Chief of Staff to the Chairman, you will be the Chairman’s trusted advisor and right-hand person, playing a critical role in advancing the organization’s mission and ensuring the success of its diverse expressions and ventures.

In addition, you will coordinate the activities of the office of the Chairman, and oversight the protocol, business development, strategic communications, and finance functions in the Chairman’s office.

You will possess a unique blend of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of the faith-based non-profit sector, all guided by strong Christian faith and commitment to the organization’s values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Chairman’s strategic advisor, providing high-level analysis, insights, and recommendations on critical decisions.
  • Lead and manage diverse projects aligned with the Chairman’s vision and organizational goals, including coordinating the activities of the various expressions and ventures on behalf of the Chairman.
  • Manage the Chairman’s office efficiently and effectively, ensuring smooth operations and timely execution of priorities.
  • Streamline and filter all official Chairman-directed correspondence, ensuring timely and appropriate routing based on content and priority.
  • Prepare concise summaries of official correspondence, extracting key points required for informed decision-making by the Chairman.
  • Coordinate the activities of the protocol office, ensuring flawless coordination of activities and meticulous scheduling of the Chairman’s travel, meetings, and appointments, anticipating and proactively resolving any potential challenges.
  • Facilitate the Chairman’s domestic and international trips, providing logistical support and representing the organization professionally.
  • Manage the Chairman’s communication platform, crafting speeches, and presentations, and managing media inquiries.
  • Prepare and manage the budget for the Chairman’s Office and oversight the management of funding and expenditures.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including board members, donors, and leaders of the various expressions and ventures.
  • Stay informed on critical trends and provide insights on the performance of the various expressions and ventures.
  • Ensure all activities and decisions align with the organization’s faith-based values and mission to serve the community.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior executive assistant or chief of staff role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Proven track record of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • In-depth understanding of faith-based values and experience working in a mission-driven environment.
  • Discretion, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel as required.
