Spot Portable in London walking down the British Fashion Awards 2023 red carpet with Skepta

The annual awards was attended by a surplus of great personalities in the creative industry including it seems, Portable.

Much of the past year has been filled with blips when considering what Habeeb Okikiola ‘Portable’ had been up to. Blips which involve different running with the police due to dangerous behaviours – but all that looks to be changing following his unexpected debut at the 2023 British Fashion Awards red carpet on Monday evening.

It was all captured on Portable’s Instagram, down from start to finish. There was a moment of bromance revealed involving riding in a vehicle with the UK rapper, Skepta and furnishing the environment with a freestyle.

Everything went like clockwork in what had been an unforgettable experience both for the Nigerian Street-hop singer and his fans. As Portable settled into the experience of his newly found position in global entertainment, he always managed to let out a feeling of appreciation to reference grace.

All these pre-clips led to the red carpet where one singer struts closely behind a rapper to make their appearance at the annual ceremony that was established in 1989 to celebrate British and international personalities and businesses that have contributed to the fashion industry.

This year’s event was attended by a surplus of great personalities in the creative industry including the Model of the Year winner, Paloma Elsesser, who CNN spotted in a cut-out black Ferragamo gown. The multi-talented F1 driver Lewis Hamilton was also at the event and he arrived in an all-white and as a Wales Bonner specimen.

It is the reflection of the degree of importance that Portable has garnered in a short while having run into and urged the pop singer Tiwa Savage on the sidelines of the event. “Yesterday was fun” reads Portable’s Instagram summary after he must have revisited all the London-built memories.

When the annual music awards The Headies in July 2022 reversed his nominations in the Best Street-Hop Artiste and Rookie of the Year awards categories in the event’s 15th edition, it brought about uncertainties about his prospects. At least for now, there is a sense of a travel direction towards much success in the future.
