Spyro’s Billing Urges Fans to Live It Up

The ever-ambitious Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, often addressed by his stage name Spryo, is back on the streets of afropop with his hit track Billing featuring afropop giant Davido. It sure is one for the books.

Spryo delved into the art of music at a young age. He started to explore music while in secondary school through his church choir, during this time he decided music was for him and fervently pursued it as a career believing he has all it takes to make it as a top-shot someday.  Spyro is currently a lone free ranger, unaffiliated to any record label but with all that talent he is sure to be one of the latest signees soon.

The brilliant artist Spryo gave listeners an earworm off a melody to keep them hooked. The hit single Billing garnered street credibility amongst fans as they quickly fell in love with this very sing-alongy track.

Billing has a feel of Davido’s vibes in the background of the beat. Any Davido fan can clearly single out his influence in the backgrounds of the beat and sounds. The hit-track has an upbeat tempo with a slow undertone base, the kind that is smooth on the eardrums. You can either have a fast or slow vibe to because it is just the right kind of in-between.

The lyrics speak majorly on money as most Nigerian songs do. On the hit track Spyro tells listeners how people do not recognise an individual until they make it; that is, until they gather wealth, which is true in most cases.

The artiste speaks on how a person is without any form of support from people until they get the dough. It can clearly be seen in the lyrics…

Nobody go dey (Nobody go dey)

When money no dey

Bowo ba tan

Eyan lo ma ku

Is a lie

Ma fi billing pa mi

Bowo ba tan

Eyan lo ma ku

Is a lie

Ma fi billing pa mi (Jo má pami na)

Spryo goes further to tell listeners to spend their hard earned money on themselves because, at the end of the day, nobody send your papa.

Billing is a super relatable track because at some point in life many people are faced with these challenges and in these times, a person might start to wonder why they should care about helping people who did not stand by them when they had nothing. The hit-single serves as a relatable reminder to always put yourself first.

Today’s hit-track is high on delivery. The execution is authentic and fresh, Spyro infuses unexpected freestyles in the song while actively vocalising his lyrics.

Billing is an exciting feel-good tune. Looking for a hit-track to brighten the day? Add Billing to your playlist today.
