Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro seems to have broken the internet with his new best friend anthem, Who is your guy?
The Lagos-born songwriter started his musical career in 2018 with his single, Funke, which later had a remix featuring popular musician and superstar, Davido (David Adeleke) and the talented Mayorkun. Despite this combination, Spyro didn’t leave a mark in the music industry until he released his single, Billing in 2022. Being a familiar name in the industry, he is known for his other singles like, Gunshot, Japa, Amazing, and Puff Puff.
To consolidate his musical successes, Spyro also released a danceable and relatable single which has been making rounds on the internet since its release. The song, Who is your guy is an anthem that reaffirms friendships and squad connections. The internet banger talks about the worries and troubles he has on his mind but he gets the strength and inspiration to keep going because of his friends who stand by him through thick and thin.

It is no surprise the song is an internet buster because of its catchy beat, tune and meaningful lyrics. Its release has birthed thousands of videos on various social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. Even though we are yet to see the official music video of the single, it still doesn’t stop content creators from creating thousands of content with the tune.
The song notably teaches a valuable lesson about the value of real friendship and why it is important to have them around you in spite of any hardship you may be facing. We will definitely be expecting more singles like this from Spyro in the near future. Who is your guy may not be number one on Spotify and Apple Music but it is definitely deserving of accolades.
