We are building the world’s best technology that digitizes cash payments and provides financial empowerment for a better life for Africans. NowNow has acquired a Micro Finance Banking license in Nigeria.

The company’s vision is to positively contribute and challenge the existing payment system in the region, and improve financial inclusion to banked and under-banked merchant segments at an affordable cost.

The company has raised $13M so far in seed funding and has already launched its payments business (POS and wallet business) with plans to scale these businesses, and also enter into adjacent product categories. The company is revenue generating.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly dynamic Strategy Manager to help grow our business and product offerings from the 0-1 stage and existing business and products from the 1-10 stage. This is a highly visible and high impact role reporting to the Chief Product Officer (CPO) where the decisions you take have a major and direct impact on the company business and product strategy. We are looking for an extremely customer focused, and analytical problem solver, who enjoys building fintech products and businesses for new markets in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bring customer-first mindset and work closely with the SME and enterprise customers to understand their pain points, gaps in the market, and our competitor offerings, and accordingly work with the product team to develop new product solutions
  • Write complete and detail-oriented business requirements documents (BRDs) clearly highlighting the business use cases and financial impact behind every productization request
  • Work closely with the sales team to deliver business and product presentations to enterprise merchants
  • Work closely with the marketing and sales team to determine our GTM strategy
  • Work with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, sales, compliance, etc) with the ability to influence decision making and drive consensus among multiple stakeholders.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • 2+ years of management consulting experience in Tier 1 companies like McKinsey, BCG, Bain etc. This is mandatory.
  • Total of 3-6 years of relevant experience. Experience in the fintech space (preferably payments or lending) is an added bonus.
  • Strong analytical (quantitative) and presentation making skills.
  • Proven experience in driving and managing projects across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to simplify complex ideas and communicate them with clear and logical thinking.
  • Team player who can work in a dynamic and multicultural environment, with a collaborative mindset and can do attitude.
