Phyna, Rachel shine for their interesting take on football

Considering that the Big Brother Naija housemates were in a frenzied mood as a result of food scarcity, we noticed efforts put into their wager task. From rehearsals to the final presentation, they put in the hard work for a cultural themed performance.
Their task involved a series of presentations eulogising heroes that left their marks through singing and dancing. It was a stellar performance. Biggie could not contain his excitement and he commended them extensively for the enthralling task presentation. He specifically lauded Phyna for great leadership and organisation qualities. He also commended her for getting Groovy to dance. It surpassed Biggie’s expectations. However, he had to be a little spicy by asking Groovy to rate their performance. Groovy relayed his personal delight in the way it played out, he said it was great.

Interestingly, Biggie asked that the Head of House, Hermes, give an accountability report. Hermès explained that it meant the participation and efforts of every housemate was recorded to ensure that the undoing or sluggishness of any housemates would not cause them to lose the wager as they could be held responsible for their actions. As usual, “Mr. and Mrs. Ikoyi” were found wanting for not putting maximum energy into the rehearsals. In fact, they missed the rehearsals for unthinkable reasons. As a result, Biggie asked that they tender an apology to the house. After their first attempt sounded incorrigible, Biggie requested another sincere apology, which they gave. It took some of the housemates some time to accept it but they did anyway.

Following the apology was the joyous announcement that they had won their wager for the week. It was a great relief for all as food and other luxury items would be available to them during the course of the new week. That is, the fight triggering hunger will now be contained, perhaps they get to enjoy some peace.
Back in the house, the ladies were already enthusiastically creating a shopping list. Meanwhile, the playlist for the Saturday night party was organised by the housemates. We are in for an electrifying time at the party and we can’t wait to see it. Earlier, the housemates did a debate task on football and it was amazing to see the girls argue heartily against it. Phyna and Rachel were amazing and they stood out. For Phyna, she mentioned that “football makes our men alcoholics”. Though this was a funny assertion, her arguments were strong, leading her to win. On the other hand, Rachel opined that “football is the worst side chick that can happen in a relationship”. Hilarious point but superb argument and presentation. Kudos to the girls.
Engulfed in the euphoria of winning, we expect that the housemates give us some calm content moving forward. Even though this may be an exaggerated expectation, viewers deserve some more peace watching the show.
Stay jiggy just in time to enjoy the party and subsequently, the eviction night.
