We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commodity Trade Operations Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of buying and selling of the commodities, managing local farmers, understanding and managing international trading partners. He/she must have a strong background in commodity trading, logistics, and risk management.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee and manage all aspects of our commodity trading operations, including trade execution, logistics, and risk management
· Develop and implement trading strategies to maximize profitability and minimize risk
· Monitor market trends and developments to identify potential opportunities and risks
· Manage relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders in the commodity trading industry
· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
· Supervise a team of operations staff, providing guidance and support as needed
· Analyze and report on key performance indicators to senior management
· Identifying new business opportunities to expand the trading portfolio. They evaluate new markets, commodities, or products to capitalize on emerging trends.
· Compliance and regulatory adherence to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including reporting obligations and transactional transparency
· Continuous learning, professional development and stay current with industry trends, market dynamics, and technological advancements to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
· 5years of experience in commodity trading, logistics or related field
· Strong knowledge of commodity markets, trading strategies, and risk management techniques
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Strong leadership and communication skills
· Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications
