We are expanding our digital presence and community, and we’re looking for a talented Social & Community Managerto help grow our brand, engage our audience, and bring Jaiyé to the forefront of travel experiences in Africa.

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Social & Community Manager to lead our social media presence, grow our online community, and enhance brand engagement. To be an ideal candidate, you must be creative, strategic, and data-driven, with strong design, content creation, and copywriting skills. You should be highly proficient in content design and editing tools, understand branding and social media marketing, and know how to increase engagement and audience growth.

Beyond social media, you will manage Jaiye’s WhatsApp, Facebook, and website communities, as well as create weekly newsletters to engage and grow our subscriber base. If you’re passionate about building digital communities and driving social media success, this role is for you!

Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Develop and execute a detailed social media strategy aligned with Jaiye’s brand and growth goals.
  • Manage and grow Jaiye’s social media platforms (Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Threads/X) and launch YouTube and TikTok.
  • Create, design, and edit compelling graphics, videos, and other multimedia content using Canva, Adobe Express, and CapCut.
  • Post daily and write engaging and persuasive captions, posts, and stories tailored to different platforms and audiences.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to optimize content strategy, engagement, and growth.
  • Engage with our followers, influencers, and partner brands to build relationships and expand our reach.

Community Management

  • Plan, design, and send weekly newsletters and email campaigns to nurture and grow our subscriber base.
  • Manage and segment our email subscriber list and track performance analytics to improve engagement.
  • Oversee and moderate Jaiye’s WhatsApp, Facebook, and website community, ensuring members stay engaged and informed.
  • Initiate and moderate conversations, answer questions, and foster connections within the Jaiye community.
  • Strategize and implement initiatives to increase community engagement and brand loyalty.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

  • At least 3 years of consistent experience as a Social Media Manager, Community Manager, or Digital Marketer with a track record of growing social media channels and online communities.
  • Experience working with travel brands or lifestyle brands is preferred.
