Job Description:
As the Vice President of Finance, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the financial health and compliance of Zide. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance, accounting, and reporting for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the company’s goals, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling efforts to provide insights into the company’s financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
Risk Management: Assess financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the company’s assets and financial stability in the context of cross-border transactions.
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, adhering to GAAP and international financial reporting standards.
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards for cross-border financial services.
Treasury and Cash Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and investments to optimize returns and support operational needs.
Tax Strategy: Develop and implement tax strategies that minimize the company’s tax liability while ensuring compliance with international tax laws.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
Financial Systems: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and tools that enhance financial operations and reporting.
Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate financial information and insights to the executive team and board of directors, supporting informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Proven experience (5+years) in senior finance leadership roles within the financial services industry, with a focus on cross-border payments or fintech being a significant advantage.
Strong knowledge of international financial regulations, compliance, and tax strategies.
Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills.
Excellent leadership, team management, and communication abilities.
