We are seeking a Chief Technical Officer (CTO) based in Lagos, Nigeria to fulfil the technical co-founder position in a Fintech start-up you should definitely come from one of the following backgrounds:
- Seasoned Senior/Lead Engineer from a tech startup/scale up
- CTO from a tech startup/scale up
- Tinkerer who has multiple products on the app store which have achieved an organic user base
- PhD holder in areas such as AI/ML/Robotics
In additional to the above, you will demonstrate Founder DNA via:
- Inner drive: You’re a self-starter and can motivate yourself and others to join your mission. You set high goals and have proven to achieve them.

Role Summary
You will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the start-up. The is crucial in ensuring the efficient and sustainable operation of the start-up.
Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and objectives.
- Technical Leadership: Build, lead and manage a potential remote team, to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
- Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end product development process, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of high-quality products and solutions.
- Innovation: Identify emerging technologies, trends, and opportunities to enhance our competitive advantage and drive business growth.
- Technical Architecture: Establish and maintain a robust technical architecture and infrastructure to support the company’s current and future needs.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of all technology systems, protecting company data and maintaining industry and regulatory standards.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and technology investments.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to align technology initiatives with overall company objectives.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Evaluate, select, and manage technology vendors, partners, and service providers to support company needs
