We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineer in construction to plan, design, and execute phases of construction projects. He/She must have a very strong understanding of structural engineering principles, construction methods, and project management. The ideal candidate will work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure that structural designs are implemented accurately and efficiently on-site.
Responsibilities:
· Review and interpret structural design plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and building codes.
· Collaborate with project managers, architects, and construction teams to develop construction methodologies and schedules.
· Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
· Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams, addressing any structural issues or concerns that arise during the construction process.
· Perform structural calculations and analyses to validate design integrity and safety.
· Prepare and review construction documents, including shop drawings, submittals, and change orders.
· Assist in the evaluation of materials and construction techniques to ensure cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
· Conduct inspections and assessments of existing structures to determine their condition and recommend necessary repairs or reinforcements.
· Maintain accurate project records and documentation, including reports on site conditions, inspections, and compliance with safety regulations.
· Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes related to structural engineering and construction practices.
Requirements
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
· Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain licensure within [specific timeframe].
