Program Manager at YNV Group

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of programs with many interrelated, complex projects.
  • Manage a team of project managers that are working on many projects inside and outside of your programs.
  • Manage projects within a program that are complex, cross-functional, visible and impactful in nature.
  • Partner with Executive Program Sponsors to understand the vision and ensure all projects within the program are aligned to and deliver against that vision.
  • Ownership a discipline within Program Management that has full accountability of success within the team and across the organization for said discipline.
  • Manage all stages of the project life cycle from project inception to completion.
  • Determine and define in collaboration with the project sponsor the project scope, objectives, success criteria and metrics.
  • Establishes and sets priorities, and identifies, and communicates risks as well as mitigation plans in coordination with deadlines for all project activities.
  • Builds and monitors schedules based on the project scope and specifications.
  • Ensures all applicable information is entered into the project management system correctly so that all timeframes are up to date.
  • Leads and facilitates Drives program / project team / status meetings to confirm that the project timeline is on track for a specified completion date.
  • Updates project contributors of any project related developments and ensures that the project management systems are updated with changes communicated.
  • Develops and maintains project milestones and completion dates while controlling and monitoring processes including quality controls, workflows, and reporting systems.
  • Manages project schedules and coordinates project resources including internal, and contract personnel, and vendors to ensure that projects stay on schedule.
  • Track project costs to meet budget.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field.
  • 5 to 9 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred; agile project management knowledge would be very valuable.
