
Job Description:
The Marketing Officer will play a crucial role in developing and implementing plans for student recruitment in the designated regions of Lagos, Nigeria. The role involves extensive travel, both locally and internationally and close collaboration with colleagues and various departments to support student recruitment efforts.
Key Duties:
- Achieve international recruitment targets for the specified region.
- Develop, agree upon and execute student recruitment plans for specified markets in alignment with institutional goals.
- Produce and distribute market performance and management data to support international recruitment activities.
- Plan and participate in student recruitment events, including travel, accommodation and logistics for marketing materials.
- Collaborate with Central Marketing for online activities, such as webinars and social media, to support recruitment plans.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and counselling to prospective students, sponsors and other stakeholders.
- Manage a network of educational/recruitment agents, including selection, target setting and ongoing support.
- Develop links and relationships with educational institutions, ministries, alumni and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of international web pages and promotional materials within institutional guidelines.
- Coordinate with the Office Management and Admissions team to maintain a database of leads, inquiries and applicants.
- Undertake duties as needed to support operational demands within the department.
- Provide immigration advice and support services to international students at various stages.
- Undertake specialist immigration casework with international students, including knowledge of relevant Immigration Rules.
- Provide immigration advice for students and dependents, ensuring compliance with laws.
- Conduct pre-CAS checks and interviews to ensure students meet visa requirements.
- Develop and deliver projects to enhance the international student experience.
- Manage web-based resources and provide training and support to staff.
- Stay updated on relevant legislation and best practices and disseminate information to students and staff.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external agencies.
- Work between sites as required, including occasional evenings and weekends.
