Nigeria’s foremost bank, First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Group Plc has said that it will prioritise purpose, culture, and technology in a bid to foster business growth and accelerate a greater experience and satisfaction for customers.
Mr. Ladi Balogun, Chief Executive, FCMB Group Plc said purpose, culture and technology will boost the company’s performance. He disclosed this during the 10th annual general meeting of the FCMB Group in Lagos while disclosing the company’s plans to achieve robust performance in the 2023 financial year. He told shareholders that the company aimed to prioritise purpose, culture and technology to achieve this goal.
He said: “Our purpose is to foster inclusive and sustainable growth in the communities we serve. We plan to build a supportive ecosystem that connects people, capital and markets in Nigeria and the rest of Africa.” He added that the company adopted this approach because it believed it would create value for all stakeholders while enhancing the tangible difference it makes to lives and communities. He also revealed that the Group intends to deepen the use of technology and accelerate digital transformation in order to ensure convenience, speed and safety of transactions for our customers.
Balogun stressed the importance of building an innovative performance culture reinforced by the company’s purpose and core values of execution, professionalism, innovation and customer focus, while also adding that FCMB Group believed that a consistent, group-wide performance culture would create agents of change and progress for its businesses and the communities it serves.
