The Head of House challenge and nominations triggered mixed emotions in the new week. Knowing that the HoH games would save her from possible eviction, Chichi fought doggedly for it and fate smiled on her. Yesterday, history was made as Chichi emerged the third female winner of the HoH challenge. Interestingly, she also earned the title of the first Supreme HoH of the Level Up season. That is, on top of the veto power, she has the power to save two housemates from evictions. The icing on the cake was that these saved housemates will be with her till the grand finale.

To earn these coveted freebies, all the housemates were mandated to pitch themselves in not more than 90 seconds to Chichi, the new HoH in order to secure a position in the finale. The result was a mixed bag. Bryann seemed pessimistic or realistic, he asked that Chichi should keep an open mind in her selection while Sheggz was antagonistic, envisaging his chances of being selected as slim. He further rubbed it in by saying if he didn’t win, neither Bella nor Chichi should. Adekunle and Hermes, on their part, vigorously tried to sell themselves to the last queen of the house.

Exercising her powers, Chichi finally picked Phyna and Daniella, which seemed like a typical ‘women supporting women’ practice. While Phyna was overly elated, Daniella seemed really emotional about being picked by Chichi. Other housemates, including Sheggz moved to console Daniella in her teary moment. But Sheggz would later be up a gum tree for his kind gesture. Back in the house, Bella and Sheggz had a squabble about consoling Daniella. After all, Chichi didn’t pick any one from the duo.

She enjoyed her movie reward with Bryann, Groovy and Phyna. Picking Chizzy as her companion in the HoH room seemed like she just settled for the lonely person. She really didn’t have many choices. As beautiful as the turnout of the HoH challenge seemed, the BBN script for this year seemed lopsided and unplanned. Almost like there is no script being used, just freestyle.

Meanwhile, it was both amazing and surprising to hear what Dotun had to say about his relationship in one of the media rounds. He clearly stated that he would have gone for Ilebaye who was evicted earlier in the show. Does this mean Daniella was merely an option to suit his bodily needs for the time being? Also, we saw Hermes struggle to cope with Allysyn’s absence for the first time, staying without her in a while. He seemed to be really disturbed as he kept to himself and engaged in so many time consuming activities. This has put him on the list of the top five most talked about housemates. Her absence might be taking a toll on him; hopefully he can keep his calm till the end.

Adekunle finally dropped his role of being a father figure to Daniella with Doyin now out of the house. He made his intentions clear to her and everyone wondered what it was about Daniella that kept the men coming. Rachel confronted Adekunle on his choice. It appeared he tried to exploit the opportunity or leverage on Daniella’s Achilles heel of being easily swayed emotionally.

Finally, the wager task was announced and it would be a play, titled “Big Brother’s House of Vibes”. We look forward to a captivating performance as usual. Asides the three housemates going into the finale by special events, all other housemates are up for eviction. Be sure to vote to keep your favourites in the finals and keep streaming the show.
