The 12th day in the Big Brother Naija house is a memorable one. From the tasks to the frictions and the house party in level 2. It was full of spellbinding moments.
The most stimulating events started with the enmity between Eloswag, Chichi, and Phyna in the house yesterday. This issue became topical and has continued to raise so much speculation from housemates and viewers. Chichi advised her roommate Phyna to let go of her feelings for Eloswag. This advice was more of a concern as Chichi feels Eloswag is not into Phyna enough. It appears most of the housemates called Chichi’s bluff but some viewers still feel she was absolutely right. The level 1 housemates’ reaction to that issue was a typical case of eye service. Everyone in that house is fully aware that Eloswag is not the guy that particularly sticks with one lady. Hence, Chichi’s advice to Phyna was not just valid but essential. It is quite astonishing that nobody stood up to Eloswag for him to come clean about his feelings for Phyna. Perhaps, there’s something they didn’t want to lose by not taking his side.
The highlight of the moments was last night’s pool party, which developed into a kissing bout. Generally, the level 2 party did not bang as hard as that of level 1. In fact, they saved their barbecue chicken, perhaps for rainy days. Now to the kisses! While Groovy and Beauty’s kiss looked like warfare, Khalid and Daniella’s was very romantic and enticing.

Well, maybe the height difference also contributed to their kiss looking like friction. But aggressive romance is not romance. Fans are asking if the kiss was intended to announce Groovy and Beauty’s ship officially and I’m strongly opposing it because that kiss was terrible. Meanwhile, Khalid and Daniella seem to be intentionally giving us a show and we love it.
Amaka probably had the sexiest swimwear at that party, “Beauty no reach”. This is sarcastic because if you saw the swimwear, it looked really laughable. However, the level 2 housemates had the time of their lives at that party following Modella’s win in their task yesterday.
The housemates were placed into small groups to present short movie/series scenes, an event that saw the housemates’ first freeze during this task, it seemed like a moment of reflection. There were beautiful presentations, the horror stories of Alakala, Love, war, and many other intriguing stories. Modella was awarded for her exceptional performance and this earned the level 2 housemates their House party.
On the flip side, Diana’s reaction to Giddyfia’s disrespect is worthy of mention. In fact, I don’t know how I feel about her iron-willed attitude even during his apology. However, I can tell that whatever he did must have really put her in a bad place. In her French tongue, “I’ve reached my limits” she said.
A Twitter user and viewer tweeted something that got my attention. He gave an opinion about classicism on the show. He suggested that most people are classists, and the people who really are, amount to nothing in real life. If this is really about the ‘trenches’ and ‘island’ divisions in the BBNaija house, then I don’t think it is that deep. Even though I agree with his assertion, the show is basically for entertainment and viewers need a vibe to resonate with, hence the division.
Keep your eyes glued to the show and enjoy the best moments and ignore ‘vawulence’.
