By Tosin Ayinde

Nigeria’s leading record label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), it appears, is set for a rebranding if the fresh information from popular lyricist Davido is anything to go by.

In a viral video, Davido revealed his latest projects and plans to rebrand his record label, DMW to DMW 2.0. It just didn’t end there, the music sensation leaked the secret to his fans that he has signed up two additional artistes, Morravey and Logos Olorito, to the yet-to-be launched DMW 2.0.

This announcement is coming at the heels of the unveiling of the track list of his upcoming album Timeless, with Davido promising that DMW 2.0 will be bigger and better.

Meanwhile, the two newest signees are already warming to hit the music scene as the duo have been lined up to feature in the Timeless album. In a post shared on her IG page,  Morravey, a young Port Harcourt-bred singer and songwriter, said, “This small girl from PH is about to live out her dreams thanks to this great man @davido who discovered me in the most random way on the internet.” The budding star with a quintessential voice added “there is time for everything, and this is mine. I am grateful and I am beyond ready! Catch me on Track 3 on Timeless with ‘The Baddest’ produced by @damirore @dmw_2.0 let’s Go!!!”

Logos Olori, on his part,  a sensational Afrobeats vibe machine, will be drawing musical inspiration from his South-western roots. The aspiring songwriter, on his IG, said, “Thank you to the ones who have been here from day 1. It’s another step in my journey. With a new family. It’s been years and years, adding, no words can express how I feel to finally be heard. Thank you @davido for giving me this opportunity. Catch me on Track 14 on Timeless with the one and only 001. Otilor beh @dmw_2.0 DMW Family.”

Just as Davido is set to light up the music scene again, fans are already agog with the news of his return, while also wondering what the Afrobeat singer is up to, especially with the newest additions to the DMW 2.0 record label.
