Excitement, drama as CloseUp stirs BBNaija housemates’ love nest

Of the many events in the Big Brother Naija house yesterday, the CloseUp task was predominant. During the course of the tasks, so much drama ensued among housemates, owing to the fact that they were paired with random people of the other gender. That is, their original “partners” were disregarded during the course of the task.
The ladies were required to form a one-minute pick-up line for their respective partners and this was a twist. We know that the ladies had pickup lines used on them in most cases, however, we can’t say they didn’t do a good job of the task. Biggie had to mention that, once again, Groovy was in the middle of two women having Allysyn and Modella in a love triangle for the task. Congratulations to the ‘Adele’ pair, which had Adekunle and Rachel – they won the pick-up line task.
Meanwhile, Doyin and Eloswag performed best on the album covers. While Bryann won the music category, fans felt Hermes was robbed of the first position. Though, following their presentations, Hermes didn’t stand a chance as Bryann remained the most creative song composer in the house. On the other hand, fans, viewers, housemates and even Big Brother complained bitterly about Bella and Sheggz. In fact, their new names are Mr. and Mrs. Ikoyi, for constantly regarding themselves better than the other housemates.
Their ugly behaviour towards their pairs for the CloseUp tasks yesterday was the straw that broke the camel’s back. After the pairing, Bella and Chizzy, Sheggz and Phyna, Bella and Sheggz ignored their partners, and instead of rehearsing, went to make eba. This was such a ridiculous bottom-barrel behaviour. As a result, they made a mess of their singing tasks while simultaneously frustrating their partners’ efforts by belittling them. This earned them a stern warning, and in Big Brother’s words, they had to apologise for always ‘sabotaging’ other housemates’ efforts whenever they were not paired together. While being very incorrigible and unremorseful, they offered a cold apology. All I can say is, they need to come home.
Earlier in the house, Sheggz sparked an intense argument by telling Phyna that she would go home if she didn’t stop talking. Though Phyna stood in the forefront channeling her anger vehemently, everyone else was pissed at Sheggz. His opinion was audacious considering that he contributed less than nothing to the house. He and Bella were literally bench warmers and too judgemental of other housemates.
During the diary sessions, housemates spilled all the tea. Concerning nominations, everyone thought it was fair that Big Brother put all housemates up for eviction. It feels nice that all housemates can feel the pressure and anxiety that come with possible evictions. And, like two housemates said, the former level 1 housemates enjoyed so much immunity, almost like they were on a vacation in the house. Let’s see what the future holds for all of them.
Finally, we saw that Chizzy, who was a rider in the house, might be up to something. Biggie asked if he needed anything to aid his unique assignment as a rider. He asked for time to think of something and bellies were churning since no one was aware of what he had up his sleeves. So far, we have got the thrilling stuff we signed up for on this show. With the juicy grand prize, the last housemate standing would be iconic in this tough Level Up season. Stay tuned.
