After finally getting their body warmed, BBN housemates experienced their moments of truth in their upcoming ships. The chase was mostly more thrilling than the actual relationship. Let’s see how the housemates spilled the tea about their deepest feelings to their supposed partners.
For days now, Deji, who only wanted to test the waters with Chichi, accidentally fell into a ship. For the most part, he resented this entanglement because of the limited time in the house. Even though Chichi struggled in situations that required her to be smart and this must be an extra turn off for Deji. For the umpteenth time, he clearly said he didn’t jump into relationships in two weeks, and they only started getting close last week. However, after shouting at Amaka, “I hate weak bitches,” she refused to leave Deji as this might mean her becoming what she hated. The whole situation became uncomfortable for everyone except Chichi who was fighting tooth and nail for the love that was non-existent.
On the other hand, Allysyn got carried away by the kisses and caresses from Hermes. As a result, when he asked her what she wanted, she said: “You, without your girlfriends.” Some things are better left unsaid. Hermes gave a quick negative response, “exactly, and that is impossible.” I could feel her heart sink even though she camouflaged with a weird and forced laughter. I believe that was too much from her owing to the fact that he always made his polygamous relationship crystal clear. Now, she would either take a piece of the pie or nothing at all.
Also, Amaka and Giddyfia hit the realisation that they might not be so compatible. It seemed to me like most housemates were in the trial and error era of their relationships. It could have been easier to enjoy the thrills of this relationship from afar. Up close, Amaka did a reality check and asked to take things slow with Giddyfia. Were all the fights worth it? The triangle and square? He no longer appeared to satisfy her intimate and emotional cravings, hence, they were merely patching up for entertainment.
Eloswag, who thought he got a green light from Chomzy, was left hopeless and disappointed. Following her win as the Head of House, she picked Eloswag to join her in the HOH room. And he was elated, pumped up with expectations, perhaps of unlimited access to cuddles at least. All these expectations were bashed continuously as Chomzy refused to yield to any sort of intimacy. I saw a random comment, “this girl go kill Eloswag.” His level of frustration must be so high. But, what is the next step?
Furthermore, into the events in the Big Brother Naija house, Bryann emerged as the most talked about housemate this week. This followed his awesome freestyle song with Groovy in their UNIK task presentation. About that, Bryann insisted on not using his personal songs on the show as his intellectual property might no longer be his at the end. A viewer said Laycon of the last two seasons used his for promotional purposes. Bryann thought he would be treading in murky waters to do that, hence we’ve been enjoying fresh freestyles on a platter.
Finally, the first Friday night Arena games took place in the house yesterday. Deji came out tops for finishing at 7:35 out of 8:00 minutes. Congratulations to him as most housemates did not pass a certain stage.
