The energy in the Big Brother Naija house yesterday was nothing short of good vibes. After the news of their wager loss, the housemates refused to sulk about it as they played games of truth and dare. Biggie allowed them a night of food and games in the Level 3 house, for their stress.
In the morning yesterday, Chizzy finally met his waterloo as he locked horns with Phyna over cleaning duties. He grew popular for airing his feelings as sternly as possible, leaving the receiver dumbfounded and sober. So, when he angrily spoke to Phyna, he got an apt reaction as Phyna also gave a piece of her mind. In her words,”If you don’t have mouth control, go and look for it.” This left Chizzy mute and it was unlike him, even Sheggz had to give a remark. Chizzy finally got put in his place.
Meanwhile, in their cool bromance yesterday, Sheggz and Groovy had a lengthy abs hearty conversation. Their conversation centred on the toxic traits of other housemates, especially in the former level 1 house. Sheggz mentioned that many of them had very ugly attitudes, especially anger issues. He made particular reference to Hermes and Chichi. He said Hermes used to shout a lot, and as a grown man, it was awkward to have another man yell aggressively at him. For Chichi, she used to flare up at the slightest things, whether they were provocative or not. Sheggz also thought the food issues were very unnecessary, though he constituted a major part of the food frustration by not cleaning dishes after use. For Groovy, he said he ate whatever he was given and Phyna was always available to help him with food.
We saw Bryann spoke to Daniella about the personal changes that happened to him with the advent of the merger. He said he started to value quiet time more. As an introspective person, he valued his thoughts and emotions well enough to always keep them in check. One of the ways which he employed to avoid getting lost in the noise was taking longer showers late at night. Little wonder Bryann slept at the slightest opportunity; perhaps this was just a coping mechanism for him.
In addition, the housemates were elated throughout the party last night. Plus, they had very dashing looks with their classy looking outfits. For once, it was more of vibes, dance and romance rather than heated drama. If there was one lesson to take from this show, it is the subtle manner in which character development is incorporated into the system without making it look like it was forced. Most housemates still on the show seemed to have evolved and learned basic values that come with cohabitation.
