Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Community Manager to oversee engagement across all social media platforms, with primary expertise and focus on Twitter and TikTok. This role involves driving brand engagement, fostering community connections, and establishing our presence in conversations centred around pop culture, entertainment, and trending topics. The ideal candidate will be a storyteller, a trendspotter, and a culture enthusiast who knows how to connect with audiences in an authentic, engaging way.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform-Specific Content Management

  • Lead content strategy and execution for Twitter and TikTok while ensuring brand consistency across all other platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn etc.).
  • Develop and post content that is creative, engaging, and aligned with our voice and tone.
  • Optimise content for platform-specific algorithms and trends to maximise reach and engagement.

Engagement and Community Building

  • Actively engage with followers through timely responses to comments, mentions, and direct messages across all platforms.
  • Create a sense of community by fostering conversations around social, pop culture, and entertainment topics.
  • Identify and collaborate with influencers and culture creators to enhance the brand’s visibility.

Campaign Development and Execution

  • Plan and execute social media campaigns that drive engagement, spark conversations, and build brand awareness.
  • Leverage Twitter trends and TikTok challenges to create viral, shareable content.
  • Align campaigns with broader organisational goals and measure their effectiveness through analytics.

Trend Spotting and Content Creation

  • Stay ahead of trends on all platforms, especially Twitter and TikTok, ensuring the brand remains relevant in fast-paced digital conversations.
  • Ideate and create short-form videos, memes, and creative posts tailored to platform trends.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Track and analyse performance metrics to assess the impact of strategies and campaigns.
  • Share insights and actionable recommendations to optimise future performance.
  • Monitor competitor activity to identify areas for improvement and innovation.

 

  • Key Requirements:
  • Over 4 years proven experience managing social media accounts for brands, particularly Twitter and TikTok.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, pop culture, and audience behaviour, especially within the Nigerian and African context.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling tweets, captions, and content narratives.
  • Content creation skills, especially for TikTok, are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • A proactive, creative, and team-oriented mindset.
