PNC 2026: NCDMB, DMG unveil new activities as Bayelsa renews support
New sessions for local contractors, young people and industry leaders will feature as the PNC Forum returns to Yenagoa for its 15th edition.

The 2026 Practical Nigerian Content (PNC) Forum will introduce new sessions and activities aimed at giving industry stakeholders more room to discuss the future of Nigerian Content, support local contractors and bring younger Nigerians closer to opportunities in the oil and gas industry.
The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and DMG Events unveiled some of the new additions during a meeting with the Bayelsa State Government on Tuesday, as preparations continue for the 15th edition of the forum, scheduled for November 30 to December 3 at the NCDMB Conference Centre in Yenagoa.
The engagement, held at the Government House in Yenagoa, also reaffirmed the State Government’s support for the forum, which it has hosted in partnership with NCDMB for the past 15 years.

Leading the NCDMB delegation, the General Manager, Corporate Communications Division, Dr Obinna Ezeobi, thanked the Bayelsa State Government for its continued support, particularly its role in hosting the opening banquet and supporting the Youth PNC.
He highlighted the economic impact of the forum and other NCDMB programmes in Bayelsa State, while conveying the appreciation of the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe.
The Youth PNC, which targets young people in the Niger Delta, will also return as part of this year’s programme. Senior Manager, Zonal Coordination, NCDMB, Mr Adebayo Joseph, briefed the Deputy Governor on plans for the segment, which introduces young participants to opportunities and competencies relevant to the oil and gas industry and other sectors of the economy.

DMG Events’ team lead, Ms Olamide Oloko, outlined the main programme and highlighted some of the additions for this year’s forum.
Among them is a Local Content Roundtable scheduled for November 30, as well as a 2-day programme dedicated to Local Community Contractors (LCCs). The LCC programme is designed to help local contractors strengthen their operations and scale their businesses.
The 2026 PNC will also feature a breakout session where stakeholders will contribute perspectives on the direction of Nigerian Content over the next decade.
Another major addition is a Townhall Session that will bring together key industry figures, including the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd, the Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), the Chairman of the Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS) and the Chairman of the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN).

The new activities come as the PNC Forum enters its 15th edition, with the organisers seeking to broaden the conversations beyond the usual review of local content implementation and create more opportunities for practical engagement across the industry.
Responding to the delegation, Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, Dr Peter Pereotubo Akpe, assured NCDMB and DMG Events of the State’s continued cooperation and adequate security for participants during the forum.
He also reaffirmed Bayelsa’s participation in the main conference and Youth PNC, as well as the State’s tradition of hosting the gala dinner.
Akpe commended NCDMB for integrating some participants from the 2025 Youth PNC into its capacity-building programmes and called for greater participation by senior oil and gas industry officials at the welcome gala dinner.
The 2026 PNC Forum will bring together stakeholders to examine local content implementation, investment, industry participation and opportunities for increasing value retention in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, while the new sessions are expected to widen the conversation to the contractors, young professionals and communities that form part of the local content ecosystem.
