We will all agree that the major turn of events ushered in a new dispensation in the Big Brother Naija house. Yesterday’s eviction night was unique. Biggie brought the housemates together in a way viewers had longed for. The long-awaited eviction saw Kess and Pharrmsavi’s abrupt end in the race for ₦100million.

In the course of the show, we saw the ‘Trenches’ versus ‘Island’ description no longer fully represented the housemates in both levels, hence, the merging of both makes it easier. They all acted rogue in the past few days. Let’s see how they would conduct themselves in this new era.

Like Ebuka rightly said, since ‘ships’ are their favourite thing to do and talk about, let’s discuss that a little. Bryann was most likely very disappointed with Modella’s response to Ebuka asking about their relationship. For someone who had been trying hard to do extra for her, he deserved better than that “we are just friends” answer. I guess Bryann would disembark from the love journey; I bet he considered her unworthy of it now.

Ebuka spent time asking the right questions and making the right comments to the housemates last night. For Diana, I think it is ridiculous that she placed a limitation on Giddyfia after admitting to being only close friends with him. They were caught up in a square with Rachel joining in the fight for his attention. Meanwhile, Amaka strongly believed she and Giddyfia were made for each other.  She admitted she hated the mix especially because of the “Amaka disappoint me” situation.

Bella, who initially said other housemates hated her and Sheggz, mentioned to Ebuka that they turned a new leaf in the past few days. Bella and Sheggz did not realise that they earned the hate by being constantly annoying, confrontational and dumb. The duo became a strong force with nothing to offer except fights. If there’s any such thing as “deserving hate”, they got that.

Eloswag’s situation with Chomzy seemed like fighting a lost cause. While he was waiting for the green light, she was head over heels in love with Groovy and actively demanding his attention.  I agree with this Twitter user that said: “I hate how this season’s girls give the guys so much power over them.” Groovy, who was accelerating things with Chomzy, brought lies to Phyna about how he won’t have anything with any other girl. I hope Phyna knows what she is doing.

Chichi repeatedly portrayed the bottom barrel behaviour by creating issues with other housemates. She not only created these issues but also used the opportunity to berate fellow housemates on assumptions or wrong accusations. She always had this behaviour, it’s only just getting intense.

The viewers on Twitter had a lot to say on her brawl with Doyin. One of them suggested Adekunle told Chichi that she refused to listen and blow things out of proportion the other day when they fought and he was right. The drama was really unnecessary. Over a damn locker!!! I’m tired of Chichi, she must be evicted”. We can all agree that she was problematic at this point. Another hilarious comment is: “Chichi just insulted Doyin because of her colour, coming from someone that bleached to the extent that she is turning red, Aba Cardi b”.

Doyin’s fans did not relent in supporting their queen.  I can understand the hate because Doyin’s strong intellect and smartness was quite intimidating. The merging of both houses will be a bitter sweet experience. Enjoy the ride.
