When Meiza Flavour Fiesta 2.0 arrives for this Christmas holiday, maybe your reddish locally seasoned Jollof rice will be the star

Meiza Flavour Fiesta 2.0 in its second season will run from 2 December down to the Boxing Day of the year 2024, and getting in has been made to feel easy and fun.

It is the fact that Nigerian Jollof rice through all its travels around kitchens and restaurants all around the African continent has seemed the champion that no other variant could touch. But it is not just because of the tastiness when the peppered grains lick the tongue that draws the attraction, is it? A mix of cultures also lies in between the thrill. This is why the family-focused Meiza Flavour Fiesta rightly does a stepping-in for the Christmas holiday starting Monday 2 December 2024 up to Boxing Day.

First, let’s take every foodie keeping up with underground cuisine back to when Miss Nwokenna Favour looking to make a mark alongside others who felt motivated to reveal their keen native cuisine interest the organic way, kitchened up to feed an entire country. This contestant earned the first place winner post for her 541 YouTube Likes, which was more than any of the top three finalists.

That particular act of winning is about to be repeated but over a jollof rice table when the meal is about to be served. Since it chimes with the mood of the holiday, crispy-grilled chicken and all forms of greens with dotted cream could be served on the side if the culinary chef decides.

All the process of preparation should be done with strictly Nigerian-made cooking seasoning ingredients. This is what the chilling holiday home crowd have a chance to be involved in should they want to revise their ideas about diverse ways to intrigue an esteemed guest or teach the family new ways to make their jollof rice pop without glitches.

The Meiza Flavour Fiesta's first season was all about discoveries – a vision of tasty Nigeria through a foodprism crowned Miss Nwokenna Flavour as the top-prize winner.

Joining the Jollof Rice showdown goes this way

Meiza Flavour Fiesta 2.0 in its second season will run from 2 December down to the Boxing Day of the year 2024, and getting in has been made to feel easy and fun.

It will be feeding off a love for the extra special jollof rice delicacy that every Nigerian somewhat holds as a national pride when prospective participants send in their video submissions showing themselves cooking jollof rice with the local seasoning brand they recently discovered and so want to showcase it.

Some other persons sending in their entries may have only just discovered the ingredients they used in entering their dish for the competition and all will be supported.

To enter the Jollof Rice Showdown, the participant sending their entry must observe straightforward guidelines. They have to ensure submitted videos meet guidelines such as the entries taking a high-quality form with good lighting, possessing a clear sound, and must not be more than 5 minutes long.

After the submission, the jollof rice-making video will be uploaded on Meiza’s YouTube channel where the search for votes promoting a dish will now be needed.

This time, what’s in it for the participant?

When all has been said and done, it will be the Boxing Day Thursday 26 December that will decide. By then, the top three finalists have known their names would be winners but it won’t be the equal world most favour because of the prize distribution.

It is a guarantee though that the vote-counting process will be transparent like what the Meiza Flavour Fiesta has been known for. The YouTube votes that will be collated to come up with the best jollof rice chef will show transparency no doubt.

What the reward will be when the competition closes a day after Christmas will be ₦200,000 for the first place winner, and then ₦100,000, ₦50,000 respectively both for the two runners-up in descending order.

One of the three should be reading this invitation to the Meiza Flavour 2.0 Jollof Rice Showdown, but it is only the next three weeks that will truly tell, so off to see what that brings after the participants register here.
